Six Best Port Grape Varietals:

  1. Touriga Nacional - produces rich tannic fruit forward wines with complexity and longevity.

  2. Tinta Cão - Low yields almost led to the extinction of this grape.  Its making a come back now used in blends for finesse and complexity

  3. Tinta Roriz or Aragonês - Also known as the birthplace of Tempranillo! Used in a lot of blends in the Dão region.
